HOLY SPIRIT AND ANOINTING: HOLY SPIRIT IN THE CHURCH

This is the age of the holy spirit. He is the one in charge now, since he came down fully on the day of Pentecost. He is the lord of the harvest; he is to search out brides for Christ. He is the vicar of Jesus Christ. His time is now.

A. Author of new birth and new life.

D. Comforter, Helper, Teacher and Guide of all saints

Though He is all these to all saints, yet we cannot begin to enjoy them until we begin to recognize Him, love Him, fellowship with Him, Adore, praise and appreciate Him, thank Him and ask His direction in all facets of our lives. We must make Him our Senior partner and we His junior and depend on Him every moment to help us.

Il Cor. 13: 14 – Communion means partnership, fellowship, distributorship.

E. Glorifies and Testifies of Christ – John 15:26; 16:7-15; Acts 5:32

The Holy Spirit elevates Christ and gives witness to the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord. It was the delight of the Son to glorify the Father, It is the delight of the Spirit to glorify the Son Not that the Holy Spirit adds anything to the personal and mediatory glories which now encircle Him as seated on the throne of His glory. But the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus in view and experience of men. Indeed it is truly delightful to notice the different instances of glorifying that we have here. The son glorifies the Father on earth; the Father glorifies the Son in heaven; and now again the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ on the earth, in the hearts of His people.
