Many any leaders have resisted change simply because they cling to the believe that God does not change. They hold on to scriptures like Malachi 3:6 and therefore fight and resist change of any kind in their lives and ministries. Unfortunately, such leaders have been left behind. It is time we come to understand the changing and unchanging aspects of God. This is foundational to embracing change in both our lives, actions, works, families, ministries and nations.

A. GOD AS A GOD OF CHANGE Heb. 13:8; Mal. 3:6; Rev. 1:8.
God the Creator of heavens and earth does not change. He is the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscience. He is the Beginning and the End of all things. His goodness, Character, Mercies, Righteousness, Love, Compassion, Justice fails not. (Lamentations 3:22-23). He is Reliable, Dependable, Trustworthy and cannot lie. His word and character can be relied upon at all times. He can never be dethroned. (James 1:17).
B. GOD AS A CHANGING GOD Daniel 2:21; Psalm 102:25-27.
Yes, God does not change, yet He created the world with the principles of change. He created the world to change.
1. Nothing on earth is as permanent as change – Life is always moving forward, nothing ever remains the same.
2. Change is ceaseless – Change is natural to existence and common to all creation. Everything is in a consistent state of change, and nothing can stop it.
3. Everything Changes – Your body, life, interests, cloths, knowledge, friends and relationships change. Your city and country also change.
4. Change is Inevitable – No one on earth can avoid change. It is not healthy for us to believe that life will always remain the same. If you don’t change, change will inevitably change you.
5. Change is a principle of life and creation – Change is a proof that you are alive and that the world is running as God planned it.
These five principles of change that God created the world with make sure that the world is not static, but turning, moving, improving and changing inevitably.

Even though God’s character doesn’t change, yet, change is what God knows how to do best. He changes His methods, strategies, times and seasons. He changes kingdoms and kings. God also specializes in turning and changing;
- Darkness to light
- Night to Day
- Weeping to Laughter
- Barrenness to Fruitfulness
- Bondage to Freedom
- Set back to come back
- Failure to Success
- Barrier to Breakthrough
- Sickness to Health
- Defeat to Victory
- Sadness to Joy
- Sighing to Smiling
- Midnight to Music
- Limitations to Lifting up
- Mess to Miracles
Throughout history, God has done and is still carrying out these changes in individual, family, corporate and national lives. He is still in the business of bringing change in these areas today.
