Christianity without the miraculous is nothing but religion. Infact, it is not different from Buddhism / Islam / or any other religion.
The word says “I and the children … are for signs and wonders”
This is your year of supernatural turnaround – for this to happen a miracle must take place.
Daniel 3: 8 – 12, 15 – 18, 19 – 30.
Here is one of the most embarrassing miracles of all times.
Shadrach, Messach and Abednego (Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah) were reputable men.
“As for these 4 children, God gave them understanding and skill… Dan 1:17”
They were ten times better than astrologers and magicians. Dan3:8
Therefore, certain chaldeans came near and accused the Jews!
God dropped something in you at redemption that is making the devil run mad! And he’s doing all that is possible to frustrate / paralyze / humiliate.
But listen, you don’t need to be moved, “certain chaldeans”, that are accusing you have no name! But you have a name!
Prayer Point: EVERY MAN ACCUSING ME TO REDUCE ME, DISAPPEAR NOW!
The Mistake of Nebuchadnezzer v 15
“Who shall deliver you out of my hands”. This was where Nebuchadnezzer was defeated. His mouth killed him!
Anytime your adversary ask where is your God, the battle has ended, just fold your hands and watch.
Nebuchadnezzar said who is that God?
- The aim was to send fear
- He was acting like Goliath, coming out to give verbal torment for 40 days.
That is why you must know who your God is:
- Jehovah Shalom – The Lord our peace who subdue all storms.
- Jehovah Rapha – The Lord our healer who destroys all sickness.
- Jehovah Raah – The Lord our Shepherd
- Jehovah Tsikenu – The Lord our righteousness who grant victory over sin.
- Jehovah Shammah – The Lord is here.
- Jehovah Nissi – Our Banner, Fighting our battle.
- Jehovah Jireh – The Lord our Provider.
V 16
Sometimes you’ve got to stop talking with the enemy. We are not careful to answer, there is somebody we know who will answer you.
In this year, GOD WILL ANSWER YOUR ENEMIES.
V21
The first few people to touch them, (before now, Nebuchadnezzar was just talking against them), heaven tortured them. “Touch not my anointed, do my prophet no harm”
But they were still thrown into the fire and God didn’t stop that!
- THE EXACT TIMING OF A MAN’S MIRACLE IS DETERMINED BY GOD.
- God could have made them immovable
- God could have killed Nebuchadnezzar before the fire was heated.
- God could have made them disappear.
Miracle delayed is not miracle denied.
Immediately they were thrown into the fire, the heaven opened and someone like an angel descended into the furnace.
He has not name in the sight of Nebuchadnezzar and others, but He is the fourth man. When he entered into the fire, the fire lost its power to burn. It was like the burning bush that Moses turned aside to look.
No matter what you are going through, all you need is the presence of the fourth man.
Who is this forth man:
- He is the Abel’s sacrifice.
- Noah’s Ark
- Abraham’s Ram
- Isaac well
- Jacob’s ladder
- Moses Rod
- David’s stone of offence
- Elijah’s mantle
- Bright and the Morning Star
- Shadow of Peter
- The Rock that followed them in the wilderness, lily of the valley
- Rose of Sharon
- Honey in the Rock
- Water out of flinty rock
- Rod and staff that comfort.
When he comes by your side, all your chains must fall. Every chain binding your hand / leg, burn into ashes.

V27
With the fourth man, they were not standing still, they were walking, they were unhurt, their hair was not lost (singing we are serving the Lord of Miracle). Because your hairs are numbered (not counted but numbered).
I’ve told you the name of the fourth man. Isaiah 9:6
“for unto us a child is born,… and the government shall be upon His shoulder”
He is carrying the government of your life upon his shoulder.
V27
The same counselor who teamed up to cast them into fire came to see and celebrate them. Your enemy will attend your house warming ceremony!
You know why – The Lord is your Shepherd.
Though you are in the valley of the shadow of death…
v. 28
Nebuchadnezzer was praising the Lord. Your opposition will come to church with you.
V 30
The end result was promotion – that was what God was coming at.
Their story changed, your story has changed!
The fourth man didn’t come out with them, He is still there. So when you go He will be with you!
That story took place 580BC. 2,585 years ago. But the fourth man has not left the fire!
He said I’m waiting; I’m waiting for my sons and my daughters who are on their way into the fire. So that I can do for them what I did for Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. He is the very present help.
- Anytime you are alone and fear wants to come; look around you, the fourth man is still standing.
- Anytime the flood is raging and you are about to be swallowed, remember the fourth man.
Meshach and others entered into the fire with a lot of things like coats, hats, garments, chain on their hands. But do you know that they didn’t loose any of those things. They came back with them (v27)
The only thing they lost was the chain.
From this hour – NO MORE CHAIN
(A sign from heaven that if the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed). The son came to take away the chain.
One of the most abiding works of Jesus is taking away chains.
Financial chain, Demonic chains, Family chains. “The fourth man took away the chain”
