THE RACE

Heb 12:1-3 At the beginning of the year like this there is the need to get set because the journey is long.

At a time like this, its like you are entering into another segment in your race.

There are about 37 passages that refer to race / running / run in the scriptures. May you finish your race well with reward.

THE RACE INVOLVE 5 THINGS

1. THE CLOUD

Former / current runner who should be our example. To run well check the example, look at those celebrating 50 years in God.

2. THE CLOTHES

Let us throw off anything that hinders. Rev. 19:8, Zech 3:3-4

If we don’t get into proper cloth we won’t run long before we fall flat. Things that hinders includes.

3. THE COURSE

…The race marked out. I Cor 9:24-25. If you don’t run your own race you will end up in a wrong place.

There is a collective course and individual course.

4. THE CHARACTER

… Run and Perseverance. The race is not possible in human strength, it requires supernatural ennoblement and help.

Consider the Eagle and how he renew strength so as to fly and not be weary.

5. THE COACH

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher.

Jesus is the all in all, you need a permanent attachment to Him. He is the one that will make the race possible and enjoyable.

…Read and Study His Instructions.

… Serve Him with the whole of your heart.

… Get committed to whatever you are involved in.

This is a race of a lifetime, you can’t be fired, you can’t be wearing.

God will give u strength, you will become an achiever, you will make it . you will shine. 2 Tim. 4:7-8.
