Temptation to commit sin come to all; when you subdue temptation and refuse to fall, you are called an overcomer. Falling into sin and struggling to rise is not an heavenly approved lifestyle.
I John 5:4 To exhibit an overcomer’s lifestyle, you must understand fully that temptation entails, the source, the strength, the agents etc.
THE SOURCE OF TEMPTATION: Mt. 4: 3, Gen. 3:1
The devil, Satan, Lucifer is the tempted. There may be human
agent/material agent but the temptation is the brainchild of the devil.
No one is ever above temptation. if the tempter could approach Jesus
After 40days of fasting full of the Holy Ghost, he could come to you.
Temptation (all temptation) are of 3 forms: Gen3:6, Mt. 4: 3,6,8
a. Lust of the flesh
b. Lust of the eyes
c. Pride of life
AGENTS OF TEMPTATION
1. Food
Right from the beginning food has been an important agent of temptation. It brought Eve down, it was used against the Lord Jesus.
Just a trip to a fast restaurant is enough to take the Bible from the hand of some sisters. A full good smelling food-warmer will prevent some brothers from remembering the Bible Study.
Like Esau, a lot of birthright is lost on dinning table!
2. Money (Silver and Gold)
A lot have delivered themselves to Satan because of money.
Gehazi took leprosy, when he pursued the possession of Naaman.
I Tim 6:10
Money is good, it’s a defence. You can’t do without it. But money is not everything though it answers everything.
Some ladies will follow any devil in trouser if there is enough cash.
Some married wrongly because if availability of money, not the future prospect.
Marry not because of the present but because of the prospect.
Money has wings, it could fly off.
3. Immorality
This is an all time killer, it is an ancient trap of all ages. It deals with the great and the small. It has no respect for:
Power – Samson will never falls
Religious Background – Esau the son of Isaac was a
fornicator!
Men don’t allow scantily dressed ladies to seduce you with their eyelids and special steppings.
If you’re spiritually sound, you are a special target in the kingdom of darkness. Watch!
Women never succumb to sweet words. If he calls you queen don’t believe him, that’s what he called everybody in skirt.
Beware of Immorality! Don’t enter into any relationship that is not marriage centered.

You can overcome by determination. You can get married. If you are married its easier to commit love than commit adultery.
Woman don’t deny your husband:
Get off tempting environment: Pornography films / Materials
4) Contaminated Neighbourhood. Gen 13: 12, 13
When you walk with the wise you’ll be wise but companion of fools shall suffer destruction. You will need a good environmental sanitation in order to subdue temptations.
